As a professional photographer with a passion for the Arctic and a specialism in Aurora, I moved to Lofoten from the UK to follow my heart, and it was the best decision I ever made.

I’m Dave Williams, the owner of Lofoten Insight, and I’m a passionate photographer going by @idavewilliams on social platforms. I love adventure and storytelling, and I’m always on the hunt for the next great shot and the next incredible experience. With my camera in my hand and my passport in my pocket, I travelled the world before moving to Lofoten capturing moments of beauty, wonder and some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes.

I’ve had the privilege of standing on stages to present my ideas, methods, and work to huge crowds at the most incredible events. These include Adobe MAX, Russell Browns Art Directors Invitational Masterclass, Photoshop World and The Photography Show to name just a few. My work has also featured in the glossy pages of magazines including Photoshop User, N-Photo (Nikon magazine), and For The Ride (Triumph motorcycle magazine) and my work has featured in National Geographic, Time, Lonely Planet and the New York Times. As well as that, my videos have been used by Beautiful Destinations, LadBible, and many more to showcase the beauty and wonder of the Northern Lights.
